I cannot believe it’s been 3 months since I had to shut our doors at Rosaria DeNova Photography. When everything shut down I didn’t know how I was going to navigate during this time frame. Going from a small business that allowed me to put food on my table for my family to 0 income overnight was tough. I decided that the best way to get through this would be to focus on my craft so that when reopening came there would be a new set of skills I could offer to all my clients. So I got to work.

I learned new lighting setups that will make my clients look fabulous. I honed my posing skills to flatter and make every client 20 lbs lighter.   I learned new Photoshop retouching skills that will make my clients skin and makeup look flawless. I expanded my skills on fine art retouching. I created and sewed some beautiful gowns for my client studio wardrobe. I created a client makeup guide to help every client with makeup application. I got inspired by other amazing photographers in my field and created self-portraits that even blew me away.

Life is funny that way, the curveball came and I decided I was going to hit that ball out of the park instead of striking out. After much patience and time, we are ready to re-open and start capturing beautiful images for you!

Health and safety are my highest priorities and changes have been made based on the guidance from our local health officials, including the CDC. I ask that you please help to follow these guidelines during your session. Cleanliness, physical distancing and reduced contact are very important as we transition back to some kind of interim normalcy. Your session will be different than that last time but we will get through it together and create stunning portraits for you! Not being able to greet you with a hug hello is going to be heartbreaking for me.

Things You Should Know:

  • Initially, session availability will be limited. The extra protocols take up a bit more time and will cause a reduction in session availability.

  • At this time Newborn Portrait Sessions will NOT be photographed. This is heartbreaking for me. There is just no ability to keep 6ft of distance during a newborn shoot and your newborns health and safety are the highest priority.

  • Outdoor Portrait Sessions are the only sessions that will be scheduling at this time.

  • Please bring a mask with you and wait in your car when you arrive at your session. I will text you when I am ready to start your session.

  • Please be courteous of everyone’s health. If you or anyone in your household has a temperature over 100 degrees or Covid like symptoms please contact me to reschedule.

  • Before you leave your home, be sure to check temperatures of everyone coming to your session – including yourself – as an extra layer of precaution.

  • Masks will be worn by me and anyone assisting during your portrait session. I also require that when you are not being photographed you also mask up.

  • Sessions will be limited to the subjects being photographed plus ONE additional adult. At this time we need to limit the amount of individuals present during sessions.

  • During your session long focal length lenses will be utilized to limit contact with all.

  • Your contract will now also include an additional Covid Liability Waiver. Please don’t be alarmed. This is to protect both of us from liability if we have unknown germs.

  • Our studio wardrobe will NOT be available for use during this time.

  • Our hair and makeup team is also very limited at this time and may not be able to accommodate appointments.

  • Any prop used will be always be cleaned and sterilized.

  • Your photo-shoot will be touch-less and 6ft of distance will be maintained at all times. This means I will not be able to walk up to you and adjust your hair or straighten a wrinkle in your clothing or help adjust your poses. These instructions will all be verbal and we will work thru them together.

Whew…that was a lot. Are you still with me? If so, let’s talk about some excited news.

Ready to book/rebook your session?

I am now booking appointments for your portrait sessions. I have also added some new processes to help provide an outstanding level of service to all our clients.

  • Upon booking you will receive the step by step Client Makeup Guide.

  • I will continue our online invoicing process to ensure contactless payments.

  • Finally, your portrait reveals and ordering sessions will now also be conducted via a Zoom meeting.

*Please note this is a fluid situation, processes and availability can change. I will work with all the governmental requirements and changes as quickly as possible and communicate those changes quickly to you.

I am so excited to see you all and I cannot wait to photograph you! And if you are not ready to be photographed yet, I completely understand and I’ll be here for you when you are.
